[Sypher says:]
I am planning to buy a lot of stuff lately 'coz I've been saving like hell. First, there's the Sony PSP 3000, which has a better LCD and I heard that it is un-hackable (I am advocating no-PSP hacking or game piracy for that matter) and also, there's the Nintendo DS Lite. My sis Xiao has both of these consoles in their former generation, i.e. PSP slim n' lite 2000 and Nintendo DS. So…I want mine too---only betterer! I have read downsides to the newer generation but who cares, right? It came out late, which means they have done improvements to it.
Next, there's the iPod touch. If not only for the gaming feature I wouldn't go gaga over it---yay gaming! Besides, it's the funnest ipod ever minus the phone bills.
Most of all, the DSLR accessories. First up, the lenses. We have only one lens, which is a standard zoom so, I decided that we need at least one of each in the most common yet important categories; a standard prime, ultra-wide angle, telephoto zoom and macro. I don't know which field of photography I am really into or what so the primes (standard and macro) would be good for portraits, still lifes and close-up shots. The ultra-wide angles would be good for landscape, architectural and street; perfect for travelling. The telephoto zoom would be good for fast-action shots and almost anything, although the control would be poor for portraits and landscapes won't be that defined, simply for a subject/concept that requires it, it's actually a versatile lens, for my opinion. I have my list ready and I hope my sister remembers to look for them down at Hidalgo and check for their latest pricing. Also, don't forget the external flash, I am only opting for that standard Canon ETTL 430 EXII. Next, the other accessories such as the tripod, which should be sturdy and has a flexible range of height although, the gorillapod, which is short, is perfect as a lightweight travelling companion. The reflector (I saw this 5-in-1 one---cool!), lens hoods and filters (preferably polarizing). All of these put together would cost my college tuition fees or more but I'm taking one step at a time --- actually I haven't made that step yet.
Gee, I have forgotten about the electric guitar, which I so wanted when I was in high school but was too ashamed to ask for…I don't know why. I never really thought I was good enough, er deserving, to possess one. Besides, it's been a long time since I have touched my classical guitar at home *sigh*. Oh yeah, Borjy's getting better at her piano---you should really see those tiny little fingers working slowly on the keyboard.
Also, I want those really state-of-the-art art materials: Copic markers, prismacolor art pencils, etc.
Gosh, I need an income-generating project/racket to support my vices --- bisyo no 'to.
I heard my aunt, who is working as a nurse in NJ is sending us a package and for sure it includes Borjy's spy watch and HOPEFULLY, my drawing tablet!
Well, these have been preoccupying my mind lately---my mind is so preoccupied that I don't even study before tests anymore! I only count on luck to help me, like last Saturday, on this long test on PsychNsg--- I got a 20/40! Whew---believe me, it's better…I got a 2/10 and 6/15 in the last 2 quizzes. Well, I guess I'll just make up for it on the post tests or in the midterms.
Lady luck, please don't ever leave my side…you can take a short vacation only after Nursing school---or better yet, the NLE.
